My parents live only short distance from Domfront, a Medieval town in Normandy's southern Orne district, which I visit every time I'm in France.
The walled town was heavily bombarded by the Allies during WWII, but much has survived, including the Norman castle and many medieval buildings. The main church was built in the 1920s.
